This one turned out to be a love song but is written about returning to writing, recording, and playing music after a 15-year hiatus. Buffett wrote, "Once the bug bites you, you live with the sting." (Something So Feminine About a Mandolin). In that context, the song is loosely related to Florida in that so much of the music I have been involved with happened in Florida. It turned out too strong to leave off the record, so I am in full rationalization mode here. ?
(Prince) Terry Feller dropped this title on me about twenty years ago when we were recording the original Gooseneck Soup tracks, and we finally got around to writing, "Falling at the Speed of Love" We actually wrote it the week we were going into the studio, bumping the track count to 12.

Falling at the Speed of Love © 2019 J. Bickerstaff & T. Feller
V1
It comes out of nowhere when you least expect it
and grows like wildfire in the wind
And it’s all over once you realize
that love has found you once again
No way to stop it once you’re falling … at the speed of love
V2
You just can’t wait to get back to her arms
and feel her skin against your face
To kiss her lips while looking in her eyes, hold her tight and linger on the taste
Too fast is never quite enough, at the speed of love
Bridge
A feather in a hurricane, your helpless heart takes flight
You can’t tell which way you’re going, but you know it’s right
V3
Two lonely minds that dream together, two lonely hearts that beat as one
No time to think about forever, just celebrate each trip around the sun
That’s what it feels like when you’re falling … at the speed of love.
